Studio KZ designed this 5 bedroom house for a 3-generation family in north Scottsdale, Arizona. The 7,600 sf estate features a main house connected to a casita via a loggia that wraps around an oasis-like central courtyard and pool. Multiple fountains imbue the home with a relaxed atmosphere, and help to cool the dry air as well as provide soothing background sound. The master suites feature outdoor showers to take advantage of the mild winter climate.

The super-insulated house is designed for ICF (insulated concrete forms) construction and makes use of several green technologies such as photovoltaic solar panels, solar hot water heating, rainwater collection, natural ventilation and humidification, and an on-site wastewater treatment tank.
