Studio KZ prepared conceptual drawings for a new Vineyard Church Community Center on 10 acres in Pinal County, Arizona. The complex contains many worship and outreach programs, including a sanctuary and classrooms, coffee shop, pregnancy center, food pantry, farmer’s market, dog park, community garden, nature park, corn maze, horseback riding trails, and a playground. The community center is also a working farm, allowing neighbors and at-risk citizens to enjoy the literal fruits of their labors. Sustainable technologies are employed throughout the project, such as straw-bale construction, rainwater collection that is pumped via the windmill to the integral water tower, gravel parking and drives, LED lighting, natural ventilation, and solar panels.
